Azerconnect had the honor of supporting the inaugural "Critical Infrastructure Defence Challenge 2023" (CIDC-2023) cyber festival, held at the Baku Congress Center in Azerbaijan on October 26-27.
The primary objective of the event, co-organized by The State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Security Service, was to enhance the information security expertise, knowledge, and skills of employees from state institutions, critical infrastructures, and other various sectors. Additionally, it aimed to strengthen collaboration and coordination between the public and private sectors.
Dovlat Dovlatov, Deputy CEO of Azerconnect, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, attended by the heads of various institutions in the public and private sector. "In a world where the global information environment is becoming increasingly interconnected and intricate, the protection of national digital assets and information systems becomes paramount. As one of the most prominent employers in the ICT sector in Azerbaijan, we are poised for active collaboration and are committed to contributing to the advancement of the field. It is for this very reason that we approach today's event with keen enthusiasm," stated Dovlat Dovlatov, Deputy CEO of Azerconnect.
As part of the event, Mr. Dovlatov participated as a panelist in the discussion on "How to Ensure Effectiveness in Cyber Defense of Critical Information Infrastructures?" Mr. Dovlatov discussed the measures Azerconnect has implemented to bolster the cybersecurity ecosystem within the telecommunications industry.
During the closing ceremony of the CIDC-2023, certificates were presented to partners and sponsors. It should be noted that Azerconnect distinguished itself by undertaking the role of a diamond sponsor for the event.
It's noteworthy that the event also hosted a virtual cyber war competition, simulating cyber-attacks, marking its first time in Azerbaijan.
