Azerbaijan's largest ICT company Azerconnect Group has won the prestigious Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards in six different categories. The projects and programs implemented by the company won two Gold, one Silver and three Bronze Awards this year.

The 'Meet the Costumer' project, which was implemented to further improve the quality of the provided services, was awarded a Gold Award in the ‘Best Unique or Innovative HR Program’ category.

At the same time, Matanat Babayeva, Chief Human Resources Officer of Azerconnect Group, won a Gold Award in the ‘Best HR Leader’ category.

In addition, projects and programs implemented by the company in the areas of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Future of Work and Talent Acquisition were awarded Silver and Bronze Awards.

Azerconnect Group took part in the ‘Carbon Emissions and Market Mechanisms’ roundtable, held during the inaugural Climate Action Week in Baku. The event gathered representatives from government institutions, business associations, the private sector, as well as diplomats and experts. The discussions focused on the pivotal role of carbon emissions reduction and market-driven mechanisms in combating climate change.

Azerconnect Group's Deputy CEO, Dovlat Dovlatov, delivered a speech at the event, highlighting the company’s initiatives focused on reducing carbon emissions and its broader environmental sustainability strategy. The event also highlighted the role of the private sector in achieving Azerbaijan's national climate targets. It is worth noting that the main purpose of the event held as part of Baku Climate Action Week is to inform representatives of the public and private sectors, support the reduction of carbon emissions in Azerbaijan, and promote discussions around key policies and tools aimed at educating businesses about market mechanisms.

Azerconnect Group supported the event on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Innovations,’ which took place as part of Baku Climate Action Week.

The event, which saw participation from over 30 representatives across public and private sectors, focused on the increasing role of AI and advanced technologies in combating climate change. During a roundtable discussion held under Azerbaijan’s COP29 chairmanship, participants were informed about the COP29 Green Digital Action Declaration. This initiative aims to drive climate-friendly digitization and emission reductions within the ICT sector, while enhancing access to environmentally sustainable digital technologies.

Mushfiq Aliyev, Chief Commercial Officer of Azerconnect Group, highlighted the company's successful environmental projects, particularly in areas such as energy efficiency and waste management. He emphasized that emerging technologies, especially AI, are becoming pivotal tools in addressing climate change, offering innovative approaches to current environmental challenges. The event concluded with the signing of a declaration on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Innovation for Sustainability in Azerbaijan.’

Baku Climate Action Week, held from September 30 to October 4, marked its debut in the country, gathering 700 participants from around the world, including sustainability experts, policymakers, private sector representatives, and civil society members, all united in their efforts to accelerate adaptive climate solutions.
