Azerconnect Group at ‘Cybersecurity in the Telecommunications Sector’ event

The country’s leading ICT company Azerconnect Group took part in the event titled ‘Cybersecurity in the Telecommunications Sector’. The event brought together key state agencies, telecom operators and providers, industry leaders, private-sector cybersecurity officials, as well as independent experts.

The event participants discussed challenges in the telecommunications sector, international experience in the field and issues of mitigating existing cyber threats. It was noted that new technologies, particularly the advancement of AI, allow for the application of new approaches in areas such as real-time detection of cyber threats, prevention of complex cyber attacks, analysis of big data and automation of incident response processes. The discussions also emphasized the importance of strengthening public awareness to ensure cybersecurity and training qualified personnel, as well as the role of public-private sector partnership in the process.

The roundtable discussions on ‘Cybersecurity in the Telecommunications Sector’ were organized by the Association of Azerbaijani Cyber Security Organizations (AKTA).  AKTA is a single platform of experts, companies and organizations operating in the field of information technology and cybersecurity.
